The Photographer

Poem

The photographer captures memories,

And as If someone said don't forget it.

It goes without saying,

You’ve had what it takes all along.

To create the art that you wanted

For less than a someday.

Putting focus where you need,

With care for those unknowns,

You see just as deep as they do.

You are an everyday kind human.

It’s true that you don't go out partying.

Most nights, you're home by nine - but it's okay.

When your day starts to wind down for the day,

You take care to capture so much beauty along the way.

She sits at the edge of the stage,

Hiding in black corner of the dark.

Watching her subjects grow restless, bored,

She scratches at the scruff on her chin.

One...

two...

shots and then viola! With that do we dare to retouch?

It's just artistry you see, amateurs cannot know- how

To change what would suit her so purposively

Change what would suit her so purposefully

For years now I've been trying to take living

places with my lens. Artful installations come

for conversation, not preservation.

....

This poem is created just for you..

Thank you for reading.
