The Path We Walk

I will take the first step,

and place my foot on the road.

But when the path stretches far,'

will you walk beside me?

You dream of the journey,

and whisper of freedom.

But when the stones cut deep,

will you keep moving forward?

The first step is heavy,

a tremble in the dust.

Will you walk with me?

Will you keep going?

And when the winds howl,

and shadows cloud the way,

will you hold my hand?

Will you stay on the path?

I may begin the journey,

but I cannot walk it alone.

We are stronger together.

Will you stand by me?

If you truly seek the truth,

and long to reach the stars,

I will step into the unknown,

but will you step too?
