The Pain in Miles
For those who want someone you can't reach.
By Kathleen ToomeyPublished 5 years ago • 1 min read

Waiting; just waiting
My patience is running out
Watching and waiting and hoping and praying
So far away, but still I keep saying
That one day it’ll all work out
Buried inside me
My true feelings lie in wait
Hiding the truth behind humor and smiles
Separated by miles and miles
The distance still hasn’t stopped me
And oh, how I wish
That it was I in her place
It seems that you love her with all of your heart
Could that have been me, if we weren’t apart
I can’t help but keep hoping…
