Atmospheric electricity
Skin licked in a limning of cold flame
Greyscale coruscating across shrouded skin
Charging aged fur and whiskers
Jolting nerves from ear to tail tip
A rippling growl escapes
From chords tight with fright
Night haunted with hollow, hovering smiles
Hugs sticky with saccharine lies
Hands grasping from every side
Inspiring yowls of panic
In the middle of the leaf-strewn night
A dank fog, cold and green
Infiltrated with hair-raising shrieks
Sends the old black cat
Skittering off the welcome mat
K.B. Silver
This is the story of an old black cat on Halloween. Not everyone is wearing a costume; some are just trying to nap under the moonlight. Art isn't my strong suit, but I thought I would try my hand at a black cat, and it looked recognizable, so I included it.

Love this! The imagery is so vivid, and you can really feel that cat's terror building from the static charge all the way to that final skittering escape. I too love your artwork!
