A lass lived next door, so strange, so queer,
Her hair was wild, her face, a smear.
She'd talk in riddles, never quite clear,
And children feared her, for she was severe.
But one young lad, with curious mind,
Dared to approach her, of all mankind.
He knocked on her door, and what did he find?
A friendship bloomed, much to his surprise.
They'd chat for hours, 'bout life and art,
She'd offer him treats, a generous heart.
He'd listen intently, with each passing part,
And soon enough, he'd won her heart.
Their bond grew stronger, day by day,
They'd laugh and joke, in their own way.
The lad would listen, as she'd have her say,
And she in turn, would listen, come what may.
So if you see, a lass so strange,
Don't be afraid, give her a chance.
You never know, she may just change,
And a friendship, so unlikely, enhance.
