The Ocean

Tremulous Cadence

By Ivadelle LongPublished 4 years ago 1 min read

The ocean has its moments, where's the waves crash on rocks, the easy sloshing of water constant to the ears.

The deep quiet lulling of water in the same rhythm, broken by the every now and then murmur of the water breaking against itself.

The dark waves moving in time with the slow wind.

The same wind which rustles through the leaves and into your hair.

The ocean lulls with the same calmness of classical music, the same calmness which lulls people to sleep on their hardest days.

The ocean is calm, the tranquil of the night leaving you with nothing but a chill against your skin as the wind blows the every now and then water onto your skin.

You can hear the grating roar of pebbles which the waves draw back, and fling themselves against the same rocks over and over again.

The waves begin, and cease, and then again begin, with tremulous cadence slow, and bring the note of calmness to your ears
