The Night of Endless Sleep
Eyes closed tight will they open again

The Night of Endless Sleep
The bed is soft, the air is deep.
The eyes heavy, the limbs grow weak.
The dream begins, it spreads its wings.
It drags you down, to endless dark.
The night is thick, the doors are gone.
The walls press close, the breath is thin.
You reach for light, but none will come.
The dream is sharp, it binds, it cuts.
You try to wake, but still you fall.
The mind is trapped, the time is still.
The hours pass, but never end.
The dream repeat, the dream consumes.
A voice is near, it calls your name.
It whispers sweet, it whispers wrong.
It lures you deep, it takes your hand.
It pulls you close, it will not loose.
And when at last, the dawn breaks.
The room is cold, the chest is still.
The eyes are shut, the lips are pale.
You do not wake, you sleep forever.
