The News I Can't Talk About

Emotional paralysis and the pointlessness of words

We're being led like sheep to our slaughter

And I already grieve for my sons and my daughter

They're fated as casualties in this one-sided war

Of filthy rich bastards abusing the poor

Things are bound to get worse and may never get better

The sharks caught our scent: there's blood in the water

No, we're not all in this together

We're being bound and hobbled and dragged by our nethers

For capitalist waste and worker abuse is our legacy

Alongside the festering of white supremacy

We're treated like crops by the scum at the top

While they celebrate hate and laugh when we drop

Now, a rising tide can never lift all boats

If the pigs and the big ones put their weight on our floats

For who can stop the twice impeached felon with his hand at the helm?

Is there anyone here who's not overwhelmed?

Trump has ALWAYS been a slimy, lying bastard

But there are other monsters who serve the same master

The court he appointed granted him immunity

So he can keep shitting on US with impunity

In a world where Descendents of Slaves are denied compensation

He pardons insurrectionists and says they deserve reparations

And where the insured are spurned and then left to die

Pam Bondi wants anyone who fights back to fry

Now, Mangione's been labeled as domestic terror

But if you say the same of Boelter apparently you're in error?

You know, Musk spent almost 300 mil to help Trump elected

And in the most corrupt circle jerk ever detected

Trump appointed Musk to sabotage any who'd check their abuse of power

So They can shield themselves like a bunch of delicate flowers...

You wonder what's on that Epstein list?

Remember Trump's quote about pussies and you'll get the gist

Also: Trump's cabinet is full of billionaire shits

Which is wild because billionaires shouldn’t even exist

But in our world they’re glorified and protected

By a support base who wanks over greed with their little pricks erected

Now he's got an army of masked tacticunts funded out the ass

And they're denying due process like their own house aint glass

These Customs scum act like guard dogs with rabies

So it's prolly high time we ice ICE, baby

This corruption is so thick we could cut it open with knives

But the revolution won’t happen because we’re all scared for our lives

We’re at a point where protest appears pointless when it remains peaceful

Because our government laughs at the will of the people

And what are our taxes for? here fascism, and there genocide!

While the 2A cowards all run and hide

No taxation without uh... representation?

I guess the punchline is our joke of a nation

And since the gun nuts aren't lining up on our side,

I think our choices are general strike, or just complain while we die

I love the badass picture you chose for this piece and that first line pairs so well. But this line, 'the sharks caught our scent: there's blood in the water' man! This speaks so much of how vulnerable we are when we are poor. Paying 30 mil for trump to get elected. Imagine being so rich you could do that without a sweat. 'shield themselves like a bunch of delicate flowers' oh this roast is roasting hard. This is probably one of the biggest insults. 'its prolly high time we ice ICE, baby' I like that you didn't just let out steam, but you also had fun with it. This is so heartbreaking, '...because our government laughs at the will of the people' it's really like... How much more can they do to us... 'complain while we die' seems that is really our fate. Man, this is all so unfair and scary. But your writing is beautiful, a rap against the rich and the rulers for a chance to finally live without all the BS. I thoroughly enjoyed reading this. 🤗❤️👌🏾👏🏾

More and more are becoming aware of the reality, but denial is a slimy thing too. When will people wake up and give up this unsustainable and genocidal agenda and choose humanity.

Wow, Man this hits hard and very accurate. Besides the clever rhymes and awesome flow, the content is maddening. It’s insane to watch all this shit go down, not knowing what kind of twists and turns are next.

Robin Williams once compared Canada to a nice apartment above the meth lab of the USA. Trump II, electric boogaloo, has helped me more thoroughly to appreciate his metaphor, and your poem raises an eloquent voice of protest. Solidarity.
