No apologies, no signs, headlines, picket lines
Rainbows by design, it’s not all black and white
No applause, no reply, my calls unjustified
I don’t need it, I won’t cry, I’ve done that a thousand times
No trial, no crime, how could I be minimized? Limited, now vilified, militant, belligerent
No telling of both sides, you vote pride but there's no pride
My love, my life, the franchise
No outrage on center stage, no spotlight, no page
No pats on the back telling me you relate
Where’s my free gift bag? Our commercials of acceptance? Where’s my flag? Your multi-colored necklace?
No wink, no smirk, no hot pink t-shirt
No more acknowledgment during the meetings at work
They took my special seating at church
No more school assignments no reading research
No orange, yellow, blue, red, pink, green, desserts
Where’s the super, oober bi-curious flirt?
Where’s the hashtags and the merch?
Where’s the backlash from the hurt?
The funds, clubs, the perks?
I don’t need it, they never worked
