The Mountain

The journey of a thousand steps begins with a single climb

I looked up to the mountain peak,

A distant, lofty goal to seek.

But as I started on my way,

The path ahead grew steep and grey.

Yet step by step, I climbed each height,

And saw the world in a new light.

I breathed the air of victory won,

And knew my journey had just begun.
