The Motion of the Ocean
A Quatrain 2–4 rhyming poem
The motion of the ocean
Sheer music to my ears
The soothing back-and-forth
As each wave disappears.

A gentle rhythmic potion
Colors of azure blue
Wrapped inside a sandy cup
An impression from my shoe.

The motion of the ocean
Lapping at the shore
Again and again, you return
Just like you did before.

Like verses of a symphony
The rise and fall of notes
Relentless, endless reprise
Oh! The magic of your notes.

I sit down on your sandy shore
Mesmerized by your sound
The motion of the ocean
What a peaceful, calm I've found.
