This is for Vocal's I Didn't Say That Out Loud Challenge

One doesn't always need to be a butterfly with loud wings...the quiet moth carries the flame.

༺🦋༻ ༺🌙༻ ༺🦋༻ ༺✨༻ ༺🦋༻༺🦋༻ ༺🌙༻ ༺🦋༻

I chase the bright light, but not to burn

I go after glimmer to be

Ash-dusted wings that whisper

Hidden, darkened, still.

But the flame still calls

Always brushes

Draws me near

Warm light

Brief.

༺🦋༻ ༺🌙༻ ༺🦋༻ ༺✨༻ ༺🦋༻༺🦋༻ ༺🌙༻ ༺🦋༻

But

Enough

That I shine

Dull wings brightened

Their limp sides unfurl

Spreading slowly across

From one end to another

Encasing all who embrace them

With a love that nurtures and abounds.

Quiet, meekness, and trust are powerful and will always be in power one day over the king

Love this! It’s like a gentle reminder that quiet doesn’t mean powerless. 💖

Bravo for the moth. My son loves them, and his love has inspired me. I feel they are underrated, perhaps too often compared to the butterfly, but they are not a butterfly. Different and a beauty unique unto its own.

Well-wrought! I caught sight of a Luna moth not long ago, rare around here. I considered it a blessing.

I always felt like being attracted to the bright light a bit too much. I even got a moth tattooed on my knee. I love the metaphor.

  • My daughter loves butterflies but hates moths. I tell her they are just Goth Butterflies. Great to use that for your analogy in the challenge

  • This felt so reassuring. Loved it so much!
