W.H. Auden 1905
If all stars are lost, I should learn to appreciate the beauty of an empty sky, even if it takes some time.
While poems about heartbreak may not be as upbeat as those about love, they can still be beautiful and important. The cosmic expanded metaphor of W.H. Auden's 'The More Loving One' exemplifies this; though he would want to be 'the more loving one' himself, Auden wonderfully captures the anguish of loss when love ceases.
