The Moon Said

Verse 1
I was curled up in the quiet
Counting flaws like stars at night
Wishing I could disappear
Or rewrite my crooked light
Then the moon broke through the silence
Silver truth across my skin
She whispered through the shadows
Where my healing could begin
Chorus
And the moon said to me,
“Dear girl, you’re fucking worth it”
Not in spite of all your scars
But because you dared to earn them
You don’t need to shrink or shine
Just breathe and let the world turn
You’re the storm, the flame, the hymn
And you’re fucking worth it
Verse 2
I wore shame like second skin
Tried to fit where I’d never been
But the moon, she saw me whole
Not the mask, but the soul
She didn’t ask for pretty
She didn’t ask for grace
She just held me in her stillness
And kissed my broken face
Bridge
So I rise like ocean tides
No apology, no disguise
I’m the echo of her truth
And I’ve got nothing left to prove
Final Chorus
And the moon said to me,
“Dear girl, you’re fucking worth it”
Not a question, not a plea
Just a vow the stars rehearsed with
So I’ll dance beneath her light
Let the wild in me resurface
I’m the storm, the flame, the hymn
And I’m fucking worth it
Would you like help setting this to a particular genre—alt-pop, indie folk, or cinematic ballad? I can also help shape the melody or chord structure.
