Relearn Life

Verse 1
You thought you knew the road ahead
Maps drawn in ink, the lines you tread
But then a cry, a tiny hand
And suddenly, you understand
Pre-Chorus
This isn’t a tale you get to write
It’s a lantern passed, not a guiding light
Chorus
When a child comes into your life
It’s not your job to shape their skies
But to kneel beside their questions wide
And see the world through brand-new eyes
Don’t teach them your worn-out ways
Let their wonder set you ablaze
It’s time to listen, time to stay
And relearn life, day by day
Verse 2
They’ll ask you why the stars don’t fall
Why shadows stretch across the wall
And in their gaze, so pure, so true
You’ll find the parts you never knew
Bridge
Let go of the need to mold
Let the silence break the old
In their laughter, in their grace
You’ll find your softer place
Final Chorus
When a child comes into your life
Let go of pride, let go of strife
Be the student, not the sage
Turn the page, turn the page
It’s not your truth they’re here to trace
But to remind you how to taste
The sacred now, the open way
To relearn life, come what may
