The moon on the water

The moon on the water just like a flat boat

The moon on the water is exactly like a flat boat.

The silence seems clear and deep.

Only the canyon is dark at the midnight.

And the river rushing in the silence.

Above and below are unfathomable.

A silvery glow spills over the petals.

The treetops were like waves rolling -

Then the strong wind fell silent again.

Echoes from the valley

In answer to the barking of dogs and the yelling of shepherd boys.

Count the hours in a whisper.

And watch your step.

The leaves fall by chance -

You feel as if they are calling.

Hey, my dear, come here quickly.

Meet in the bushes along the shore.

Your heart grows mute in your chest.

Excited, cold, trembling.

Here you are, holding your breath, not saying a word-

Ah, how much restlessness and worry behind!
