The Moon And The Wolves
Everything looks different in the glorious moon lit sky

The Moon And The Wolves
The wolves sit by night and howl at the moon
the moon just sits and shines without fear
no flinch, no flicker, no shifting of face
silver and still in her frozen sphere
They circle below with their teeth and cries
jaws full of hunger, throats full of threat
yet she never trembles, never replies
not once has she broken, not once has she wept
They wait for her voice but she gives them none
she speaks in shadow, she answers in light
they call her cold, they call her alone
yet they worship her rage every night
The wolves are many, their growling grows
they tell her to bend, to fall, to hide
but she is the silence they cannot own
the bright in the dark they cannot divide
She watches it all and she does not bow
they claw at the sky, she stays where she is
untouched by their hunger, proud in her vow,
to shine as she wants, not for them, but for this:
A whisper of power without a word
a crown that no pack will ever unmake
she is not prey, she is not disturbed
and no howling will cause her to break.
The wolves cry out why is your light everywhere?
the moon says my spot light shows all you are there.

Amazing poem
The imagery here is great. Reminds me of how nature's forces are constant, unyielding, while we're just passing through.
Nice nature poem. That's how it should be. Celebrating nature, using as metaphors.
