Definitely a horror poem, very creative .
You really are great at distilling a concept to the minimum. Very little in the way of description but in my head I’m picturing waves of undead creeping while I/the protagonist, hold my child, feeling the turn coming hahaha Solid work
This reads like a two-sentence horror story in poem form. Well done!
Creepy!
ooooof! This was chilling Matthew!! Belated congrats on getting honourable mention last week on the leaderboard!!
Tis the season for eating children.
Definitely mighty haunting, Matthew. Congratulations on making this week's leadership board!😊
Wooohooooo congratulations on your Leaderboard placement! 🎉💖🎊🎉💖🎊 Also, I hope his son was delicious! 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Too short
Congrats on making leaderboard! Can’t imagine having to deal with such a dark reality. Nicely done, friend!
Well-wrought!
Are we the people Some kind of monster?
Haha at writerwoman’s latter comment! Also haha at your unexpected Senryu. 😄 ..also…hmm.. if the monster lies inside and he eats the youngin’ then maybe an evil child after all!
What an excellent piece for the Haunted Echoes Challenges! Sent chills down my spine. Well done!
A twist in such a short piece? What skill! Well done Matthew! Also don't eat children
Oof—this one gave me chills in just three lines. That twist at the end… smooth but dark! ✨
‘Tempting my hunger’. This line spells out horror in such a visual way
Brutal Ambiguity. What will happen? Excellent work
Diabolically clever!
excellent. This made me think of the extreme nature of postpartum depression, and made me wonder, do fathers experience some form of that too? It's a great poem that makes you think deeply.
Damn, sir. Dark. Dark. Dark. But bloody marvellous.
