The Monkey Who Loved His Mirror
He thought he had found the truest love

The Monkey Who Loved His Mirror
A little monkey found a glass,
He looked right in and made a pass.
He saw himself and waved hello,
Hey there, friend, you’re quite the show
He made funny faces, stuck out his tongue,
He laughed and played and had such fun.
He thought, Wow, you’re the coolest guy
He smiled so big he almost cried.
He tried to hug the shiny glass,
But oh, that friend just stayed in place.
He shook his head and gave a grin,
I’ll love you always, you and me twin
He danced around and clapped his hands,
The happiest monkey in all the lands.
Who needs a friend when you can see
Yourself so fun and silly as can be
