There I was,
In the early hours,
Walking in the woods.
It crept onto me,
Like a leopard looking to hunt.
The silent whispers had me tranquil,
The dew made me shiver.
There I stood,
Drowned in the moment of silence,
In the moment of peace—
Unbothered by the chirps of the cricket,
Unmoved by the worm beneath my feet.
This was peace,
One I might never experience again.

I’m just an existential wanderer who happened to stumble into poetry. I think about writing more than I actually write—not the best poet, but trying to get better, word by word, as I share my thoughts and voice.

Beautiful, I love how nature creates a peaceful environment. Love your description of the scenery.
