The Mirror of Truth
Spooky Poetry
For Ellie Hoov's Wonderland Challenge and Vocal's I Didn't Say that Out Loud Challenge
Dare we speak the truth that frees?

Mirror
Keeps our secrets
Haven for a trapped soul
A woman shimmers in the glass
She wears my smile, my breath, my past
Pauses
Stares with her hollow caves of truth
With a pale face that yearns
To speak the words
That free.

I misread Haven as Heaven. Heaven for a trapped soul! It sort of works... But Haven is better π
