Storms happiness sadness and laughter

The Mirror of Emotion

Some days I look in the mirror

and see every storm I survived.

The face is older, softer,

but the eyes remember every wave.

Emotion does not fade with age.

It settles deeper, like roots in wet soil.

Tears turn into understanding,

anger into quiet knowing.

We are made of what we feel.

The hurt, the laughter, the regrets.

All of it woven into the skin

like light trapped in glass.

I no longer hide what moves me.

I let it pass through,

because holding it too long

only makes it heavy.

We can learn a lot of looking at ourselves in the mirror or however we can. Good job.
