Guess Who Loves to Hate You
It’s me. Of course it’s me.
Who else would carry your ghost
like a charm around their neck?
I whisper your name just to feel it burn,
a word too sharp for the mouth.
You taught me how to bleed quietly,
how to smile while drowning.
I love to hate you because it keeps you close,
because forgetting feels like dying twice.
You left me a mirror full of cracks,
and I stare into it,
trying to see you instead of me.
Sometimes, in the corner of my eye,
I think I do.

Just let those emotions out and this would be great for a marriage counseling session. Good job.
