The Man Who Carries Years

Still every day he does his best

The Man Who Carries Years

His face holds time,

marked in deep lines,

carved by long days,

and nights without rest.

His eyes tell stories,

quiet but certain,

filled with old weight,

that never fully left.

He walks with care,

slow measured steps,

as if each one speaks,

of where he has been.

Shadows stay with him,

not as a burden,

but as a reminder,

of what shaped his path.

He has known struggle,

cold streets and doubt,

moments that cut deep,

yet never broke him.

Still a fire remains,

low but determined,

burning through the tired,

that circles his gaze.

He stands like a chapter,

not yet finished,

waiting for the moment,

his voice is heard.

Years cling to him,

but he carries them well,

holding loss and strength,

in equal quiet measure.

This is incredibly moving. The lines 'moments that cut deep, yet never broke him' and 'Still a fire remains, low but determined' speak volumes about the quiet strength of his character. A truly profound portrait.

As nurse I have cared for many old men as you described this one. Good job.
