Tick-tock
Tick-tock, tick-tock
Slow the fast ticking clock
Fly high like a white pegasus
Ride dreams
Float on the magic carpet ride
Before your time runs out,
The sand slips through
The glass
***
Dare to
Surf tidal waves
Dive deep into the sea,
Like a singing, sunlit Mermaid
Dancing
To the rhythm of the pale moon
Look up at the night sky
Stars fall around
Wishing
***
You can
Turn off alarms,
Return to dreamless sleep
But you can’t stop the ticking clock
Tick-tock.

This was such a beautiful and magical poem. I really loved this part: “ Tick-tock, tick-tock Slow the fast ticking clock Fly high like a white pegasus Ride dreams” … the part about the white pegasus painted such an enchanting vision in my mind!
Time keeps on drifting no what we do ❤️ So true we need dance and be alive while we can
Loved the format and the overall tone :) I'd like it if those last two lines weren't true sometimes, lol. Absolutely wonderful work!
Very soothing piece. Well done.
I will be reading this again tonight, lol Very well done
Lovely!!! Left some love!!!
reminds me when I used to set the alarm on the clock to wake up for work. Could not freeze time so I could sleep longer.
Absolutely beautiful! I have become more aware of how I use my time in the last few years. Great work!
