All the kids love to shake their presents
To try to find out what's inside.
There are soldiers, dolls, bikes;
Puzzles, games to play.
People will donate unwrapped gifts
To needy girls and boys.
We hear, play, sing songs we love
About this time of year.
Couples will kiss under the mistletoe;
Some people will ride the sleigh.
There are festive holiday lights;
Decorations all around.
Many of the children count down the days
Until Christmas Day is here.
There is forgiveness, sacrifice,
Unconditional love.
There is laughter, memories are shared
And newly fallen snow.
Some of our presents are cherished
For many years to come.
