I prefer the stories about long loves
The entangling
The rich tapestry you both stitch
The pain and the beauty
The huge ocean movements within you
The roots that root
The fear that still creeps
The evolution
The landslides
The life that blinds you
Vines around your rib bones
The meat picked clean
Still choose to lean in
All your shadows come out over time
Pick through them
And the learning really begins
The forgiveness
The sacrifice
The savagery
Lessons like deep wine
Stars along your skin
Peace
