A sestet poem

I needed you more than I could say

But you let it slip slowly slip away

I can't play this game you started

I can't keep turning up to be hurt

I will be ok; tomorrow is a new day,

But my tears don't see it that way.

πŸ’”πŸ’”πŸ’”πŸ’”

My heart gets broken again

Too far gone to restart, to try again

All the feelings I kept inside

The problems got too big to hide

From the ashes, I hoped for something new

You left me because you wanted someone new.

πŸ’”πŸ’”πŸ’”πŸ’”

My heart burnt out, the fire too hot,

Maybe I deserved what I finally got

I came to you, no perfect soul

I gave you my heart, got it back in pieces

You told me that you loved me, left me in the cold

Now I have the memories to keep me warm as I grow old.

πŸ’”πŸ’”πŸ’”πŸ’”

I asked my god why it hurts so bad

I guess I used the chances that I had

But the answer never came,

It’s my fault, things I should have said and done

Words right there inside my head, but never said

Now it's too late, it’s all but dead.

πŸ’”πŸ’”πŸ’”πŸ’”

Till next time,

Calvin
