The Love That Survived the Toughest Test

Through distance, doubt, and storms of the heart—some love refuses to break.

By Fazal HadiPublished 7 months ago 1 min read

We thought love would be easy, all sunshine and song,

A simple sweet melody, where nothing goes wrong.

But life had its lessons, and fate had its say,

And the road we were walking turned rocky one day.

We faced sleepless nights filled with silence and doubt,

Words left unspoken, tears fighting their route.

The dreams that we built shook under the strain,

And I wondered, in fear, would love still remain?

There were moments I stumbled, lost sight of the way,

When the weight of the world tried to pull us away.

But in quiet defeats and in battles unkind,

We discovered a strength I never thought we'd find.

You held my hand when the storms wouldn't cease,

You taught me that love isn’t only in peace.

It’s showing up broken, it’s choosing to stay,

It’s fighting for “us” when it’s easier to stray.

We learned love’s not measured when skies are all blue,

But in holding on tight when the fear rushes through.

In words softly spoken when anger runs wild,

In forgiving the flaws, still choosing to smile.

Now I look at you, and I finally see,

Love isn’t perfect — it’s honest, it’s free.

It bends, but it doesn't so easily fall,

It survives when life dares to challenge it all.

We are proof that the heart, though battered and tried,

Can heal, can grow, can stand side by side.

Through the trials, the cracks, the ache in our chest,

We found the love that survived the toughest test.
