The love I require

A sonnet of love

By The StorytellerPublished 5 years ago 1 min read

Have you ever fallen in love with me?

The universe holds unlimited ways.

But one summer day, my savior found me.

Honey eyes, brown curls that went on for days.

She was old already, happy in life.

She found me hiding, running far from mine.

Through uncertainty, joy, kindness, and strife,

This woman was there, brilliant and devine.

The summers we spent, the sunsets we saw.

We loved it at our home, our joyous times.

The birds and the bees, the farm life and all.

It has all flown by as the world aligns.

From ashes to ashes and dust to dust.

Show me her love, or else our love will rust.
