The Love Collection - Part Three
Part Three Of A Collection Of Love Poems
Poem 7: Beauty
It's in the eye
of the beholder.
You may think
you're overweight
that your hips
legs
and waist
are just too big.
You may have
fallen out
of love
with yourself
but I haven't.
Poem 8: The Quarry of my Heart
It stops me.
That special scent
in a certain spot
triggers the senses
alerts the mind.
I search
with a predatory eye
listen
with hunted ear
and surrender
my soul
with clerical zeal.
You,
the quarry
of my heart,
bind me
in your love
as the dark hours
descend.
Poem 9: What I See
There are those
for whom
you do not shine.
Those
on whom
your beauty is lost.
People
who only see
dark eyes
and a tired jaw.
They don't see
the beauty within.
The concern
care
and love
contained
within your skin.
