The Love Collection - Part One
Part One Of A Collection Of Love Poems
Poem 1: Going Out
The dress is wonderful
and the colour
of your jacket
really suits.
Sleek hair
frames your face
as perfectly as ever
and your eyes
dance
with an energy
I thought lost.
But it is your smile.
Those lifted lips
and shining teeth
that tell me
you are
for once happy.
Poem 2: On A Hillside
Light
held you today
in a way
I am yet unable.
Blue sky
coloured your cheeks
and I lay
mesmerised
by your beauty.
The wind
with summer hands
held you
in a way
I dare to attain
but which
will take
a lifetime.
Poem 3: Dark Eyes
Once
I thought
people hid
behind shades.
Thought they
covered the eyes
and hid the soul.
But you
wore them today
with a smile
and laughter
radiating
from their dark centres.
Nothing was hidden.
They told me
everything
I wished to know.
