On the tranquil lake, where swans did glide,
A mother swan mourned her child who died.
Her feathers drooped, her eyes were wet,
Her heart was heavy with deep regret.
Her little one had swam too far,
And was caught in a fisherman's net afar.
Though the mother swan searched and cried,
Her beloved child could not be spied.
The sun rose and set, the days went by,
But the mother swan could not help but sigh,
For her heart was broken, her soul in pain,
As she looked for her child, again and again.
But as the seasons passed, and snow did fall,
A miracle happened, a wonder for all.
The little swan that was thought to be lost,
Appeared, alive, and with no cost.
The mother swan's tears turned to joy,
As she nuzzled her long-lost boy.
Their bond unbroken, their love so true,
The mother swan and her child anew.
And so, the lake was blessed once more,
With the love that was lost, now restored.
And the swans continued to glide,
With a mother and child, side by side.
