In the middle of the dusty land,
There stands a pond with a drought so grand,
And yet two doves sit on the sand,
And show their love in ways so grand.
Their feathers glisten in the sun,
As they coo and snuggle as one.
They are the only ones,
In this land where water's gone.
But even though the pond is dry,
Their love still shines, and soars up high.
Their wings take flight, they touch the sky,
Together, in love, they'll never die.
For love is like the rain that falls,
And fills the pond and quenches all.
The doves remind us to answer love's call,
And cherish those whom our hearts enthrall.
So let the land be dry and bleak,
For love can flourish where we seek.
Like doves that soar and never weaken,
Let us love, and hope our hearts will deepen.
