The Lost Love

Once, our love was a flame,

Burning bright and warm, a name

Written in the stars above.

But now, it's just a memory,

A distant thought, a fading story,

A love that could not withstand time.

We held each other close and tight,

Whispered sweet nothings in the night,

And danced beneath the silver moon.

But now, our love has slipped away,

Like sand through fingers, day by day,

Leaving just a haunting tune.

The laughter and the tears we shared,

The promises we made and cared,

All seem so distant and so true.

But now, our love is just a trace,

A forgotten smile, a quiet pace,

A love that was too good to be true.

Yet, in my heart, I still hold tight,

The memories of our love so bright,

A love that will forever shine.

For even though our love is lost,

It will always be worth the cost,

A love that will always be mine.
