The Lonely Moon

the man on the moon.

By Kristina BrulePublished 3 months ago 1 min read

Sorry for the delay, I’ve been quiet lately.

You’ve been as bright as ever. Holding so many secrets.

Watching, listening, protecting.

You guide those who are lost and listen to those who are alone.

Who listens to you? Who protects you?

Loving the sun but only sharing that love sometimes.

Reaching out but never holding each other.

Sharing secrets and lives, but never together.

As you light my way and hold me dear, I’ll listen.

I'll hear out your screams and pain.

For I know what it's like always to listen but never be heard.

Love to you always, man on the moon, from the lonely human.
