The little voice

… that’s often missed.

While conscious of the inner scream;

that niggles loud and clear,

listen too ... to the subtle theme

that struggles to appear.

.

Sometimes it's not the brightest beam

that should earn the right to steer;

let go, release, all things extreme;

their effect is too severe.

.

Question what at first might seem

a line of vision clear;

for broken is the cunning scheme

that shrouds what should be sheer.

.

Says the open palm to the clenching fist:

"It's the little voice that's often missed."

.

About the Creator

Tim Grace

A first impression has a lasting effect - it makes a notable difference. In a subtle way that’s who I am as a poet. A ‘first impression’ looking for the gentle ‘twist’ that draws attention to a novel observation.
