Keeping you alive

I hold on to the little things

Were all these items in a store

I would not think to buy them

Now not much else means more

A cassette tape found in the attic

With your precious lovely voice

A yellow broken screwdriver

I wasn't given much a choice

A mug with coffee stains

I saw you hold a million times

How fragile were those moments

I was not prepared to hold this tight

A baseball and a bat, a slew of dvds

A collection of selections

Filling up space on my tv

Holding to the things you touched

They all say you're no longer here to hold

But I listen to you whisper in my dreams

so I can't believe what I am told
