The Little Mermaid: A Tale Beneath the Waves
In ocean depths where sunlight fades to blue,
A kingdom thrives where only few have view.
Among the corals, castles built of sand,
A tale unfolds, a story, grand and grand.
Beneath the waves where creatures dance in light,
Lived Ariel, a mermaid, pure delight.
Her hair, like flames, with vibrant ruby hue,
Her eyes, two emeralds, gleaming through the blue.
In secret caverns filled with sunken dreams,
She pondered worlds above the sea’s bright beams.
Her heart, a tempest yearning for the shore,
To tread on land, to see, to learn, explore.
With sisters five, she swam in schools of grace,
But land enchanted her with mystic space.
Their songs would echo through the ocean wide,
Yet Ariel, with longing, could not hide.
One fateful day, amid the sea’s embrace,
She ventured further, drawn by unseen grace.
A ship appeared, majestic on the sea,
And there she saw a world that could not be.
The prince, a figure, bold with royal air,
His laughter mingled with the salty air.
He danced upon the deck, so unaware,
That deep below, a mermaid watched with care.
A tempest rose, the waves began to roar,
The ship was tossed, it shattered on the shore.
With heart of courage, Ariel did save
The prince from depths, from ocean’s darkest grave.
Upon the beach, she laid him soft and still,
And gazed in wonder, felt her heart to thrill.
His eyes remained closed, unaware of fate,
As morning broke, her heart would hesitate.
She left him there, her secret to conceal,
For love and magic, dreams they would reveal.
She swam back to her home beneath the tide,
With thoughts of him, she could no longer hide.
In caverns deep, she sought the sea witch’s lair,
To trade her voice for legs, to breathe the air.
Ursula, dark and cunning, cast her spell,
And Ariel’s voice was lost in ocean swell.
Now on the shore, with legs but voice of none,
She walked the earth beneath the golden sun.
The prince, he found her, took her to his hall,
Yet she could not speak, though love did call.
In silent grace, she danced in gardens fair,
With eyes that spoke the words she could not share.
The prince, he wondered, who this maiden, shy,
With eyes so bright, like stars in twilight sky.
In royal court, a wedding feast was planned,
For prince and princess from a distant land.
Ariel, heartbroken, watched in pain,
Her silent love seemed all in vain.
But fate, it turns with tides of destiny,
Ariel’s truth was soon revealed to be.
The sea witch’s curse, it broke with love’s true kiss,
The prince and mermaid found their world of bliss.
In ocean’s depths, where sun and shadow play,
A tale of love, of longing, found its way.
The mermaid’s heart, forever bold and free,
In legend lives beneath the deep blue sea.
Her tale, it echoes in the ocean’s song,
Of love and courage, where we all belong.
For in the depths or high upon the shore,
The heart’s true quest is love forevermore.
In waters clear, where coral gardens bloom,
Her spirit dances in the ocean’s room.
The Little Mermaid, name etched in the wave,
A story timeless, from the deep sea cave.
So listen close, when ocean breezes blow,
And hear the whispers from the depths below.
For Ariel’s tale, forever it will be,
A dream of love, beneath the endless sea.
