There it is!

That sound

You cannot miss it

It's all you hear

At the crack of dawn

I awake to the sound of this tiny little bird

It's chirping away loudly

Rhythm? Maybe but in my ears

It's noise! An unwelcome distraction

Still trying to catch some sleep here, birdie

Can you please stop?

Just for a minute?

Oh to drift right back to sleep

Forget the noise and just close my eyes

Maybe it's my lot

I'll keep the noise out

Or I'll try to

Maybe I'll find some peace

Trapped inside my head

Cut it out little birdie

I'm trying to catch some sleep here
