The Little Bird's Dream

A little bird, so small and bright,

Once dreamed of soaring to great height.

She watched the eagles fly so high,

And wished to touch the big blue sky.

“I’m just too small,” she often sighed,

With tiny wings she never tried.

The other birds would laugh and say,

“Stay on the ground, don’t fly away.”

But deep inside, her heart was strong,

She felt she truly did belong.

One day she thought, “I’ll try, I’ll see,

What heights are waiting just for me.”

She flapped her wings, up to the air,

A little frightened, yet prepared.

Higher and higher, she did soar,

Until the clouds were hers to explore.

The birds below were left amazed,

To see her reach the sun’s warm rays.

“I never knew I could fly so far,

When all I did was doubt my star.”

So if you feel too small to try,

Remember the bird that touched the sky.

With faith and courage in your heart,

You too can rise and play your part.
