Well Done Girls We Knew You Would Win

The Lionesses Win for England

They ran, they fought, they would not fall

in shirts of red, they gave their all

with grit beneath each measured pass

no dream too big, no field too vast

The crowd roared loud, but louder still

their hunger, heart, their iron will

no fear, no fuss, just eyes on goal

they played as one, they played whole

Not one stepped back, not one lost face

they owned the pitch, they set the pace

no crown, no need for royal name

they earned their pride, they won the game

For every girl who’s heard a sneer

who kicked alone, who hid her cheer

they stood for you, they showed it true

what women’s strength and skill can do

So raise your glass, your voice, your flag

no holding back, no tired drag

the lionesses roared tonight

for England’s pride, for England’s fight.
