The Lines Between Us

What you don't see

The lines between us

The lines that bind me,

do they bind you too?

Oh these damn lines

Oh these damn lies

I tell myself you love me too.

But you say this love is a sin.

When will you realize?

When will you realize, my sparrow blue?

That your wings are broken.

That I've tried and tried and tried ever more,

But you don't want my life.

You don't want my touch.

You don't want my love.

For a beautiful Sparrow Blue,

can never love a Raven Black as Night.

As the distance grows between us,

No matter how many times we try and take flight,

A storm keeps us apart.

Unknown forces keeps pouring poison between us.

I've tried and tried and tried ever more...

But you will never feel the same, will you?

As these lines divide us.

This ocean-heart bleeds for you.

When will you see?

That I'm flying in circles.

Seeking for what's not there.

Can you tell me it's there?

As I fly away, my Sparrow Blue
