The Light It Glows Beyond The Stars

Amongst The Heavens We Dance

By Deborah BerryPublished 3 years ago 1 min read

I looked into the moon’s full reflection,

Saw a glimpse of my perception,

It mirrored the smile in my heart,

Torn and shattered broken in half…

I danced and flew into the moon,

The dream it seemed to end too soon,

But in a flash of light from a star,

Lit up the dark and carried me far…

Inside out my mind she bloomed,

Wishful thoughts and colored balloons,

Memories of my little boy two,

Who died and crossed over way too soon…

I dreamt his death, he drowned I cried and cried,

My life it stopped I wanted to hide,

But I was swallowed fully consumed,

Nothing to live for I wanted to die…

I searched for meaning deep in the sky,

Opened my heart ignoring the lies,

Love was lost when I said good-bye,

Until he reached back from the depth of the moon…

Lee told me the truth during my dreams,

Visits at night when I’m fast asleep,

I am not alone we are always together,

In the light our love eternally forever…

As Mother and Son we are kindred souls,

Living in the glow beyond what we know,

Our story continues through loss to love,

Helping others from here and above.
