The Legacy You Chose
Your father’s death
was not your fault.
But how you carried it—
that was.
You could have let grief
make you kind,
make you honest,
make you brave.
Instead,
you chose to wound another
as if pain belonged only to you.
That is the legacy you chose.
And I will remember it.
