I live in Albuquerque, New Mexico. We used to get some great snow here. I can barely remember a really nice snow here around 2005..maybe? I watch Korean shows cuz I love the culture and the story-telling. I'm re-watching one called One Spring Night and one scene caught my attention in particular cuz it began to snow and a song that said "seasons change" hit me just right and so I wrote this quick as I could cuz it just felt good and cuz I miss snow cuz I used to love to feel it on my skin and to drive in the quiet solitude and the magic feel of it. Enjoy..I hope..lol

THE LAST SNOW

9-24-2024

Seasons change but the climate blows!

i miss snow

the soft plumes that quiet everything

I miss the first flake..

the one in a rush to land quickly

only limited by the speed of its float

but that is the magic..isn't it?

Snow is seductive..sneakily mesmerizing,

It romances

entrances

captivates

and enhances..

makes you feel young though one is old.

it is a salve soothing thoughts..

I miss the blasts of driving snow,

almost blinding

with its forcing blow..

sears the skin red in its frozen ferocity!

dangerous in its angry beauty,

as you search for warmth in a pale golden light of an open cafe..

Snow and coffee..

Is there anything..

Better?
