The Last Love Song

This is the last love song I’ll ever write,

A melody drifting into the quiet night.

A song for all the things we never said,

For dreams we held but never led.

I remember the way you laughed, so free,

How we talked of places we’d never be.

But time is a thief, it steals so fast,

Moments fade like shadows cast.

There’s a sweetness in the pain, I’ve found,

Like the last leaves falling without a sound.

We gave each other everything,

But love’s not always what it seems.

I wish I could have held you close,

When the world felt like it was too much to cope.

But we let go, though we never wanted to,

The space between us only grew.

Still, this love won’t disappear,

It’s tucked in memories, always near.

A love that was perfect for a time,

But life moves on, and we leave behind.

So here’s my last love song, sung just for you,

A gift wrapped in sorrow, and moments so true.

I’ll keep the pieces of us, tucked away,

As I learn to smile through the coming days.

I won’t forget the way you made me feel,

The way our hearts once danced, so real.

This is the last song, the final note,

But in my heart, you’ll always float.

So, goodbye, my love, it’s time to part,

But know you’ll forever be a part of my heart.
