The Last Day Of Summer

I am not worried

Late July: Making our short film <3

September 21st is the official last day of the summer season. Summer does not end in mid August when students go back to school to study and do their homework. We usually forget summer when we go back to class but summer is still there. Summer is still present for a couple more weeks. Summer probably wishes more people basked in her glory till the very end.

It is the night of September 21st as I write this. I had reserved summer for chaos. For late nights I spent doing regrettable things. Days where I got no sleep. Days where I disappointed my parents. Days where I felt like I am invincible. Now as Fall takes her place I find myself slowing down. I feel more steady. It's a good thing is it not?

Youth is fleeting. You can only dance for so long. Summer hosted my dances. I was falling in love but it was taken away from me so quickly. I danced to distract myself. Summer allowed me to explore other things, other people, other means.

Summer is really just a concept.

Summer is really just a state of mind.

Summer is really just a way to loose track of time.
