A surreal journey through the mind's deceits

Beyond the realm of truth,
Where lies and illusions meet,
Lies a land of twisted reality,
Where nothing is as it seems to be.

A path made of shifting sands,
Leads me through the foggy air,
As I search for the source of my confusion,
In this surreal, illusory lair.

I see a river of mercury,
Flowing with false promises,
And a forest of twisted mirrors,
Reflecting nothing but false images.

A castle made of smoke,
Lurks in the distance far,
And I can hear the echoes,
Of the deceits that have scarred.

As I wander through this land,
I am met with a sense of uncertainty,
For in this place, nothing is real,
And my trust is constantly in jeopardy.

But as I delve deeper into the illusions,
I begin to see through the deceit,
And I understand that the power to discern truth,
Lies within me, and can't be complete.

I come upon a door,
That leads me back to reality,
I step through, with a sense of newfound wisdom,
And a sharper sense of clarity.

For in the Land of Illusion,
I have learned to question and discern,
And though it was a surreal journey,
It has helped me to better navigate and learn.
