Signs Of Home

Back when the days were longer, and my heart knew its way home

a warm breeze wafted, weaving magic, through the trees

My spirit held a longing, a driving force that fed my soul

a surreal sense of peace would come, and settle over me

No matter where paths led me, near or far, from its warm glow

the road to hope was never hard to find

Through any kind of weather, like a beacon, guiding home

its path and mine, have always intertwined

Time and trials have left their imprints, the cobble stones, worn, from the wear

But as I return, time and again, I find bits of me, awaiting there

The subtle joys of moments past, those fleeting memories

remind me that I'm never lost, returning home to me
